The mayor's message

Thank you for visiting the official website of Daraga Municipality. It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to our town.

As the chief executive of this culturally rich and bustling town, it is my desire to bring our town closer not only to the Daragueños, but also to the world by offering relevant information, and providing a glimpse of the scenic splendour of our town at your fingertips.

It is my hope that as you browse through our home page, new stories, staff and department directory, you, my beloved constituents, will have the opportunity to access public information necessary for your active participation in the affairs of Daraga.

To our visitors, it is also my desire that as you click on the links, and the stunning photos in our gallery, you will realize that there is more to Daraga than just the iconic landmarks of Mayon Volcano, or the century-old Nuestra Señora de la Porteria Parish Church. May this virtual tour further encourage you to actually set foot in our town.

Guided by our vision of “Arangkada Banwa”—of Daraga “moving forward,” it is my dream that one day, Daraga will be known as one of the “most liveable” municipalities in the Philippines. This, however, can only be achieved by putting in place a form of governance that is premised on transparency, responsiveness, and accountability.

As we remain true to our agenda to uplift the quality of life of the Daragueños by ensuring a responsive client-centric public service delivery system; improving the delivery of basic social services; implementing more infrastructure projects; and boosting the economic potential of the town, may the Lord Almighty enable us and empower us to live out our vision of Arangkada Banwa Dios Mabalos. To God be the glory!

Hon. Carlwyn "Awin" Baldo
Municipal Mayor
