The Local Government Unit of Daraga launches a larger Arangkada Banwa Mobile Lab and Clinic (ABMLC) bus, today, January 5, 2023. The executive chief, Mayor Awin Baldo, his wife and executive assistant, Romella Baldo, and LGU-Daraga personnel are present on the launching and blessing event.

The ABMLC Bus is an addition to the two existing mobile labs and clinics that tour Daraga’s barangays and provide Daraguenos free access to medical and dental care. The mobile lab bus also offers other medical services, such as chest x-rays, ultrasounds for the entire abdomen, kidney, gallbladder, urinary bladder, breast, thyroid, liver, and prostate, as well as prenatal/ultrasound for expectant mothers, in addition to check-ups and routine laboratory tests. Additionally, it has air conditioning and a patient-accessible lounge space.

The bus is currently stationed in front of the Rural Health Unit (RHU), next to Daraga Covered Court. This is available from Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., excluding holidays.  The ultrasound is likewise limited to 10 slots which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone who wants to avail must have a valid ID, a certificate of indigency, and a note from a doctor requesting it.

The ABMLC is a component of Mayor Awin Baldo’s priority development plan, which intends to bring free healthcare closer to Daraguenos, particularly those who reside in remote areas and those who lack the financial means to pay for a medical examination.
