In order to promote the engagement of Civil Society Organizations (CSO) in the municipality of Daraga, the Local Government Unit (LGU) conducted a CSO Conference on August 1 at the SB Session Hall.
The event was organized to discuss some agenda which include the guidelines on LGU accreditation of CSOs and reconstitution of Local Special Bodies (LSB), requirements for accreditation, relevance of participatory governance, avenues of CSOs participation as provided for in RA 7160 and other relevant policies and issuances, as well as encouraging the formation of local CSO network.
The event was attended by different CSOs and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) in the municipality.
Municipal Mayor Awin Baldo, Vice Mayor Jungie Jaucian, Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) OIC Eng. Jeressa L. Dejucos, CSO Desk Officer Mr. Aljhon Rei L. Trance and Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) VI – Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Ms. Sheila Abierra graced the occasion.
