Mayor Awin Baldo signed Executive Order No.11 that suspends the collection of parking fees in the vicinity of LGU-Daraga, Daraga Covered Court, LCC mall and Daraga Public Market, effective on July 2, 2022.
It may be recalled that prior to the implementation of the executive order, the fee being collected for the parking amounts to 20-100Php.
“Dakul an mga naga reklamo na maski pirang minuto man sana sinda naka-park, piga-singil na, lalo na su ayo man sana mga importanteng transakyon o kaypwan bakalon. Aram ko na dahil sa pandemya dakul satun an mga nadipisilan, kaya mawot ko man na mapagaan an buway san satun na mga kaemanwa. An tunay po sadi, ubos na programa ta naka-angkla sa six-point development agenda na i-arangkada an banwa,” Mayor Baldo stated.
(I have received numerous complaints that they were already required to pay a fine even if they only parked for a few minutes, especially those who only need to transact something or quickly purchase an item. I know that many of us are struggling because of the pandemic, that’s why I aim to make life easier and alleviate the situation of my constituents. In fact, all of my programs are anchored on the six-point development agenda that strives to advance the municipality.)
