DARAGA, ALBAY- Mayor Awin Baldo signed an executive order suspending the collection of the increase in stall rental fees in Daraga Public Market, effective July 7, 2022.
This is in response to the market stakeholders’ plea to Mayor Baldo to alleviate the impact brought by the pandemic.
Prior to the issuance of the order, stall occupants had to pay a five percent increase in the rent every two years and an additional 10% surcharge for late payments.
Mayor Baldo stated that he is aware of how aggravating the upsurge in rental fees is, especially for small business owners, so he is doing everything he can to resolve the issues and offer immediate solutions.
